The Head Sailing Teacher helps the Sailing Master to take care of and lead our Bay Sailing Programs(ages 815 ), at the Cape Cod Sea Camps. The position is fulltime periodic, 6 Days weekly, and features periodic night duties. This placement reports to the Sailing Master and Camp Directors. The Head Cruising Instructor will certainly:. ● Conduct and manage sailing courses in any way levels in addition to weekly
●races complying with the curriculum established by the Cruising Master. ● Assist supervise and practice the camp therapists designated to sailing.
●● Help in the maintenance and established of sailboats, motorboats and sailing devices. ● Complying with the Cruising Master's lead, in applying
●a strong learn-to-sail program. ● Assistance, organize and manage Sunday
●and Night Races as routed by the Sailing Master. ● Create a positive and secure discovering experience for our children, establishing and looking after seamanlike discipline on the water, including secure boat handling and appropriate care of the Camp devices. ● Collaborating with Cruising Master, conduct adult centers as needed●. ● With the Sailing Master, strategy and lead the sailing section of all sailing honors programs. Weekly and end of summer season unique awards. ● Participate with the Sailing Master and various other team in planning and organizing special sailing events. Such tasks consist of, yet are not limited to aiding with Sailing Socials, Awards Ceremonies, Regattas and Ribbon Evening. CERTIFICATIONS:. ● University grad seafarer with sturdy cruising skills and sailing competition experience.
●● US Cruising Small Boat Trainer Degree 1( Degree 2 Qualification Preferred).
●● United States Shore Guard Launch Tenders Permit (we can assist protect).
●● Existing Red Cross Advanced First Aid and CPR/AED Qualification(We will Learn Small Craft Safety and security and Water Rescue). ● Experience teaching novice level seafarers in Sunfish, 420s and●Little Dingy Sailboats ; delight in dealing with kids. ● Experienced at all aspects of club raceing including spinaker and trapeze use. ● Able to lead, focus on and hand over. ● Expertise in daytoday sailing fleet upkeep. ● Strong communication and business capabilities required.
